Winter Research Special

Do you have a lot of research that needs to be done, but are on a limited budget?

During the month of March, I am offering an All-day Research Package
Pay only a $250 flat fee for a full day of research (up to 10 hours) plus expenses*.

* Expenses include travel within a 60mi radius from Athens, AL; compilation of findings;

copies and certificates up to $50.00; and other services such as transcription and digitizing.

Sorry, book production and Artistic Family Trees are not included in this package.

now is the time to take advantage of this special.

This offer expires March 31^st, 2008.

I charge $30.00 per hour for research, travel time, and compilation time. $5.00 of this is reserved for minor expenses for copying, print-outs, etc. Any of these expenses over $5.00 will be invoiced. Initially, I require a 3-hour minimum to be paid in advance. This initial service includes account set-up and preliminary research. All subsequent research will be pre-approved by the client and will be contracted on an hourly basis and paid in advance. Invoiced amounts due must be paid before research results will be mailed to the client.

Expenses will be invoiced for copies, photos, postage, certificates, and other hard copy material (over the initial $5.00 per hour) on the following basis:

Computer printouts (i.e. online records)--$.10/page
Computer generated photos (color or B&W)--$1.00/pg
Other copies and photos--at cost
Birth, death, or marriage certificates--at cost
Digital services available; copies to CD--$2.00 plus postage;$1.00 per scanned item
Postage--$2.00 minimum

If overnight travel is necessary, I will discuss charges on an individual basis; however, charges will include $100.00 per night away in addition to actual cost of room, board, and mileage. Hourly fee will be charged only for travel time, research, and compilation time.

Other mileage is $.18 per mile. Hourly fee accumulates during travel.

Transcription Services—I will transcribe and type those hard to read old documents for $5.00 per original or microfilmed page. Extremely small pages will be discounted at my discretion

Book prices begin at $35.00 for up to 50 pages; color pages extra. Ask about volume discounts, and additional page prices.
